Could you explain what it is you're referring to a little more than just a 'beeping noise'?

Computers make many noises, and simply calling it a 'beeping noise' does not help us figure out what it is that's going on with your computer...

Yah, it's cause HP is stupid.

A lot of people have this problem, and if you search the forums you'll find some work-around solutions.

I had this problem with Windows Media Center, now upgraded to Vista and this stupid **** noise is back.

Tryed the old method (disabling powers saving mode for USB root hubs in device manager), and it doesn't work i still get this high-pitched noise. WHAT the ****.

****, nothing gets done right in this world anymore.

(Im assuming you're complaining about this high pitched noise and not some other beeping noise)

Not just HP notebooks have this problem.

All Core Duo and Core 2 Duo mobile processors make the sound.

However, we can't be sure WHAT HP Fan was talking about, since he didn't explain any of the problem.
