This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    how do i configure my notebook to have all webpages fit my widescreen?

    heya. i'm not exactly sure what you mean. if you click on the the maximize, it'll expand to however the page was designed to fit for (percent vs pixels.)

    Many pages use "fixed widths" and usually there is nothing that can be done about it. If you use Firefox with EditCSS or Firebug, you can force the parent element of the web page to be 100%.

    Haven't used a widescreen myself (will soon though), so until then, that's all I can suggest.

    They all already are... but as the poster above said, some are built at a fixed width for content (in a container)... normally your css sites. Many webmasters get away from allowing "full" pages since content can get messed up when people switch resolutions... well, that was my excuse anyway. By having it fixed, it looks the same for everyone.

    No matter what you do you will still need to scroll on some webpages because of the way they were designed
