I bought a dv6500t and it arrived yesterday. I had no problems what-so-ever, everything was working perfectly. When I turned it on today, I noticed the app launcher gadget was just a black box, that was just one of the problems. I am able to connect to a wireless network but there's a red x over the task-tray icon and when I hover over it, it says "connection status: unknown" and "server execution failed". I'm having one last issue, I have symantec antivirus installed and vista stopped recognizing it, it says to please install an antivirus. I tried rebooting and looking around HP's site and found nothing, anyone have any advice? Thanks in advance...

    1) Reset network adapter (your Wi-Fi card)
    2) Reboot

IF that doesn't work, make sure the problem isn't at your router by

    3) Resetting your router

If you need an antivirus, try AVG Free from Grisoft. It's free and works very well.
