Hi All HP lovers and the rest

I am going to order my zd8000 next friday. Does anybody know if we can expect a graphics card upgrade soon? Maybe to the x700 or even the x800? I read somewhere that hp will be updating, bringing out new models, on 28th September. Is this just a rumour or if true does anyone have an idea of the new line up?

Would love to know before i buy.

    Tx guys/ gals :hp:

You do know that the DV4000 will very soon get the X700 right?

If the DV4000 will get the X700, then the huge desktop replacement ZD8000 had better get a X800 or better, because the DV4000 is really a mainstream notebook.

    Tx Guys

I am aware of the dv4000 with the x700 and have gone through it quite thorougly. Tx for the reviews though and the hp link.

I am really more interested in the zd8000. I know all the cons, and could live with it. I want to use the computer for AutoCAD and Architectural desktop, 3d and 3d renderings, (Vizrender and 3d studio) plus a certain amount of gaming. Personally for me i want the integrated keypad (use it a lot in acad) and the bigger screen, more drawing space. I know people don't tend to like the p4 in notebooks, but for the work i intend to use it for, i think it will do slightly better than the pentium m with all the raycasting calcs in 3d etc. Just wish it had the x700 or x800 graphics display.

    tx once again.
