i purchased a hp dv2612ca and i am generaly happy with it, other than inconsistent performance with the optical drive and/or vista (and its slow boot time even though i upgraded it to 2gigs of ram)

i would like to install windows xp onto it, however when i went to the hp website:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&product=3554278&lang=en&

under the win-xp section for drivers; there is like ONE driver! (for the wireless lan)

meanwhile the vista section has a whole bunch.

i dont want to take a chance and end up with a unusable machine halfway through the win-xp installation process.
where can i get ALL the drivers for this laptop?

You could try a laptop that came with XP like the dv2000. Often times though not always the drivers are the same.
