I just ordered windows ultimate, the full version.

I have windows 7 home premium on my envy 14 the way it shipped to me. Now with the full version of 7 ultimate on disc will I be able to just upgrade to the new version and use the new key or will I need to do a clean install?

    Thanks

Should be able to make a clean upgrade started from within the OS, but who doesn't like a little partition work every now and again...

All you need to do is load up Anytime Upgrade and enter your key.

It takes ~10mins to do an inplace upgrade Home Premium to Ultimate.
No need to reinstall anything. You don't even need to put in the disc.

although doing a clean install is ok as well to clear out some junk files left over from other apps. :D
