I have had my Dv9000 around with me to florida, and traveling for work and the wireless connection is consistantly bad. at home, hotels, my home in florida etc.

oh...also, the wireless on my notebook disconnects like im turning the switch off, but the switch is on. It takes multiple reboots etc. to get it working...im starting to get annoyed with it.

as I cannot work without a wired plugin.

You can try disabling the power saver. It may cause a little bit of heat and decrease your battery life a little, but you should get better range.

edit: You can disable it in your wireless adapter's properties.

had the same problem with my dv7t. When unpluged it goes into a low power mode, and the wireless becomes real flaky. Go into the advanced power settings and change the wireless option so it doesnt go into a low power mode. You can changed just that one, so everything else conserves power, but the wireless card still runs at high performance.

Well, I called hp, they will only help me if I send my notebook to them. 7 days shipping to them...7-14 days there, then 7 days back....i dont think so. I went and bought a new acer aspire 7720. Im on wireless now and running 100 percent.

Im actually liking vista as well..
