    Hi,

I have a quick question regarding the shortcut wireless button for the zv5000z model. For some reason mine seem to stop working and I keep having to go to the network connection screen to get my wireless function activated. I was wondering if anybody else have this same issue. The wireless button on the keyboard just don't turn on for some reason even if I keep pressing it. Thanx in advance for your help.

I just got my zv5000z today and noticed the same thing. What I figured out was that it seem to take 30 seconds or so for the wireless to come back on after pressing the button. I don't know why there is a time delay. Pressing the button to turn the wireless off occurs immediately.
Also, HP totally messed up my day today. My laptop was suppose to arrive Wednesday from HP, the new hard drive is arriving Tuesday, so plans were made. Today, Monday, here is my new HP two days early.[ :D] I just had to start playing with it, wasted most of what was a beautiful day to ride my GoldWing. Well tomorrow the computer will have to wait, I have a 500 mile riding day planned. I am very pleased with the zv5000z.[8D]

    Hi,

thanx for the response. I try waiting 30 seconds to see then. At first I thought it was just the way the building set up that may be blocking the connection but when I went through the connection wizard and turn it on there, it seemed fine. That's weird indeed. First time I try pressing the wireless button it turns on fine. It just lately that I seem to have problem getting it to work. I guess it's probably best if I just create a shortcut for the wireless option then. Thanx though for the reply.

i just bought a zv5000z aswell. I got a seperate wireless card. Mines automatically connects when i log on. I think u have to go to the options somewhere and check a box that says something like ...connect automatically when this connection is detected.

    hope that helps.
