    Hi everyone,

I got the HP DV6T 6c000 with the Realtek RTL8188CE 802.11b/g/n wireless adapter and i am noticing very slow internet speeds and connection.

Doing a speed test, i get around 1Mbps download and upload, while its connected to my schools wireless.

When i try my Linksys AE2500 wireless adapter, i get around 20Mbps download and about the same for upload, and its connected to wireless b (54Mbps) just as the Realtek adapter.

How can i fix my Realtek adapter so it gets normal speeds? Is there any settings i should check or change? I cannot skype with my girlfriend due to the slow connection.

    Thanks for the help

    *Edit
I am using the latest Realtek drivers from their site, same results :(

"G" speeds seem fine connected to my Netgear DGND3300v2, haven't really tested any speeds. I haven't been able to connect to an "N" network yet.

I just ran a test connected to my router at "G" (54Mb/s) speed and this is what I got below. I have 6Mb/s DSL so I'm doing pretty good considering the overhead associated with DSL.

Run the same TEST I did if you want to compare. (click on "Begin Test")

    Good luck.
