Do you know what's ironic. I totally love the L2000 specs, but I won't purchase it because of all that LiveStrong advertisement on it. Don't get me wrong. I think it's totally cool that they're donating $50 to the foundation. I just don't want it advertized on the notebook.

Same here. I'm wondering how the Turion will be compared to the Pentium M.

I *think* that there will be an equivalent Compaq model without the LiveStrong stuff. There were pictures a while back at one of the trade shows.
Personally I think the LiveStrong design is cool, and even with the $50 "donation" it's still better and costs less than the dv1000. -
True, I think the 'LiveStrong' on the front is pushing it to far...

Well, it is nice that's there's money going to charity.

Just ordered the L2000 this morning because of the specs (mainly the lightweight and 14"wxga with AMD). I was eying the R4000/z6000 models very seriously - especially with the instant rebates etc... To me, the "Livestrong" pieces are just marketing and don't bother me enough to make any difference. It was the specs that counted most. My kids are liking the look and the fluff though when I showed it to them though and I guess it couldn't hurt that there is money going to the foundation.

I'm going to get one for my wife, I like the yellow accents, it's a little different.
