The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Is there any possibility of having an hp dv2800 or 6800 model with native 1440x900 resolution [this is only available in 17'' dv9800 models] instead of the default 1280x800...

    I don't see this custom option on the hp site, nor in any laptop online store... :(

    I would say that if it isn't offered on the HP site or in any laptop online stores, then it probably is not available. If you call up a sales rep might be able to give you some assistance or maybe point you towards a similar system with that option available.

    I'm pretty sure HP don't offer high res displays on their consumer lines.
