will this happen any time soon?

i'd get an nc8430 if they started putting the x1700 in it. it seems more futureproof and battery friendly. really won't make much of a difference but the x1600 just seems too outdated for core 2 duo... any news at all?

apparently the x1700 is but a marginal improvement over the x1600.

if you always follow that idea you'll probably never get a notebook...there is always something around the corner. you have to decide when the hardware is just plain good enough for you to get the job done and get the notebook.
