    x2-3800 in R4000 ?

    title says it all, will it work to drop one in or is bios the hold up?

    Since the power requirements are so low for the AMD X2 CPU's I wouldn't be surprised at all if it works. It probably comes down to BIOS... A compatible BIOS is most likely all that is needed.

    Try it and let us know :D. If it doesn't work I'd blame the BIOS.

    I tried swapping a Turion into my zv5000z (didn't work, F.35 BIOS is clueless). I'll let someone else be the guinea pig for the R4000.

    I had thought of that too but a x2-3800 with 2gb memory would sure make a 4000 one smooth notebook.
