Hey everyone, I was wondering if any of you could help me out. I have a dv8000t and was looking into getting the xb2000 expansion dock, but I had a question. How high is the top of the computer when its sitting in the dock? Because of the stupid flourescent bulb/shelf over my desk (in my dorm room) I don't have unlimited height, and since I want to get the dock off of ebay i'd rather know that it fits before than after. I have about 18ish inches of space to work with. Thanks!

I don't think that set-up will work for you. The xb2000 lets you adjust the angle at which the laptop sits. At the lowest settung, the top of the laptop will be at about 18" high (my xb2000 is at home, so I am guessing.) Also keep in mind that the depth of the setup at the lowest setting will be about 13".

Setting the base to hold the laptop higher does reduce the depth, but will almost certainly exceed your height restriction (as well as place the laptop screen above eye level - I only use the base when I am watching a dvd on the computer.)

    Hope this helps.
