    looking at buying a dv3, but i dont know if i should wait until windows 7 comes out this fall/winter since i'm not happy with vista on my sony vaio.

    can xp be put on the dv3, are all the xp drivers avail, etc?

    What's wrong with Vista?

    The DV3 is pretty new, so I don't think you're going to get certain confirmation, but I wouldn't be surprised if you could install XP on it, although I honestly couldn't see why you would want to.

    Just save yourself the trouble and run Vista dude. There's nothing wrong with it anymore....

    Regarding waiting for 7, that's your decision to make.... if you need a laptop now, then buy it and upgrade later. If you don't need a laptop, then wait for 7. Really best advice I can give you....
