    just purchased n compaq c501nr at bet buy, im just wondering why doesnt it come with an driver the only cd that comes with it is the windows vista. where can i find the drivers for my notebook, incase i need them. thanx

    It should be on the recovery partition on the HD, they expect you to burn it yourself. It saves them time and money ;)

    Well, as someone else mentioned there is a recovery partition, should you ever need to completely resotre your system to factory defaults (you will lose all your data).

    You can also find all the drivers installed on your system in the C:\SwSetup directory. It's not a bad idea to backup that directory to DVD also.

    Here is a question.

    Since I hate having an extra partition doing nothing. What is the point of having it there if you can only do the back routine one time? Doesn't it become a waste of space after that?

    I created the two dvds for my system......if that is where its getting its data, ok to nuke and resize only for quickplay?
