    I came across a pretty good deal for a lenovo y560p at frys for $679. It has 2630qm 4gb ram 500gb hd 6570. FRYS.com | LENOVO

Been looking at the hp dv6t for awhile and it has slightly better ram/hd/videocard but over 100dollars more and wait for build/delivery. Cheapest I see it with coupon is $799.

For those who have already bought the dv6t, do you think the y560p is a better deal? Also do you guys have throttling issue with the cpu or heat problems? The lenovo is a true gaming laptop imo as the cooling system is accessible without disassemblying the whole latop. Worst case scenario at least you can clean the fan/replace thermal compound without much hassle. Are you guys worried about cooling over time with the dv6tqe?

It's definitely a good price to be sure, however it is missing a few essential items, and remember each time you step up in quality/capability for a laptop you do pay a premium.

The 6570m in the Lenovo is a reasonable card, solidly a class 2 level card, and a renamed 5750m.

    AMD Radeon HD 6570M - Notebookcheck.net Tech

It'll give passable performance in current games and runs about 39% slower than the 6770m.

With performance like that I'd hardly call it a gaming machine simply because you can get to the cooling system easier, its just a different laptop design.

That said though, if you only plan on light gaming and dont mind the lack of Blu-ray or a Full HD screen then its a good price and well worth the money.
