I have it(built in China) around 7 months and twice had AC jack problems that I could not get the AC jack working(blue light on/off). The first repair service took about a month and lasted about 3 months.

I want to know how many people have such bad experiences. The problem has costed me alot (including data lost). If you have such problems let me know. This problem needs to be fixed...that's what lawyers for....sometimes.

Regret ever considered the 'hp' notebooks [ :(!].

    ps.
Few other problems as well. The speed is due to the P4 3.06(thx to Intel)...feels like a cooking pot on this computer.

you know i agree...i have to sit and tell people like you everyday that they gotta send the notebook away for service..like i said before tho at least you are in warranty...having to tell people that are out of warranty that its gonna cost 649 to fix it..isnt to fun..

i think HP really needs to think about where to put the ac pin next time..even tho im suppose to say theres no known issues...this is a real common issue with notebooks that i deal with each day
