    Hi all,
I'm looking to purchase the HP zd8000 or zd8080. The list price from hp.com is over €300 (~$400) less than here in Ireland. I also have family and friends in the US that I can ship the laptop to if neccessery. The problem is that hp.com will only accept US-issued credit cards.
Is there any way, other than EBay, that I can purchase this laptop while enjoying the cheaper prices offered to you Americans?!
Also, what would people recommend here, going for the zd8080 or custom building the laptop? The custom build would allow me to go for the faster HDD that I'd like but will I lose out on anything, such as the PVR, TV tuner, remote, etc....

    Thanks.

One thing you should to consider is that HP may require you to send the notebook here for repair if you need to have it serviced, adding to the cost. You may want to ask HP about that before you buy. You could send the money to your relatives, if you trust them. Good Luck.

If you are a bit leary of your relatives, You could open an PayPal account. Then transfer money from your bank account to PayPal. (When you open an account with PayPal,....you can have them send you a mastercard debit card. You can use that debit card just like a credit card. Pay for anything almost anywhere.

I'm doubting about it since normally they accept any credit cards which are issued by VISA, Master, etc.
