    zd8000 Screen

    Today I looked at the zd8000 at CompUSA. I noticed the screen was somewhat dim with uneven backlighting. Is this common with the zd8000 or did I just look at a bad sample? I'd really appreciate any feedback from current zd8000 owners.

    If you were expecting the brightness and clarity of a Fujitsu Crystal view or a Sony XBrite, then you were mistaken. HP's Bright View screens are a lot dimmer and simply cannot compare to the others. Unless the laptop's screen is abnormally dim, I think what you are seeing is what it's meant to do.

    Hi,

    I'm using a hp zd8051ea and i don't find that the screen is dim.
    Mine seems to be bright and clear.
