    Hello all -

I've learned alot from this forum and am trying to make up my mind between the zv5000v and the zd8000. I worry about the noise/heat from the zd8000, but it just looks great. Regardless, this will be a great upgrade from my Inspiron 5000e (4+ years old still runs good).

I already have TIVO and was curious is there is anyone who managed to get their TIVO to communicate with the zd8000 via the TV tuner. For example, if I record something on the laptop, could I move it to my TIVO and vice versa?

I guess my REAL question is: if I already have TIVO, is there a benefit of the zd8000/tuner. We do record a lot of programs for our 2-year old on our TIVO and it would just be nice if the TIVO and laptop "talked" with one another.

    Thanks for your time.
