I just received my CTO zd8000 with, what was listed as the 12-cell battery (I don't think there is any other option). Anyway, after a full charge, on battery power, XP's telling me that at 100% I have about 1 hour of battery power. That's with the wireless on. I haven't spent the time to get an ACTUAL time, but this seems quite short. I thought that the battery time was about 2 hours. Is there that much discrepancy between what XP states and the actual battery time? Should XP indicate 2 hours at 100%?
Thanks.

Yikes! All of that power and that little life on a 12 cell? Based on the review below, you should get at least 1.33 hours not 1 hour. Also check your brightness settings which can eat some life. Actual and XP reporting levels are congruent in my personal experience with laptops. If XP says you've got 3 minutes, it will shut down depending on your battery level settings. It's like a referee, you can't do anything but listen to the whistle.

"Cons: Big (who cares), battery only gives 70-80 minutes with wireless enabled. GREAT OVERALL BUY." (Tulliman on 19-Jan-2005 06:47:30 PM)
