When I use my tuner everything is 5 seconds behind. I hooked up a mini dvd player to it, some of the DVD's in iraq won't play on my laptop, and when i push a botton on the remote, it takes five seconds for it to change. Also this happens with Xbox not allowing me to play games on my laptop. The tuner was one of the selling points on this laptop. I still like it because is will pick up radio out here. Is this delay something normal in the technology due to analog to digital conversions? Or is it specific to this model? Also can I use the tuner with other software, the record live tv software does not have enough settings for my tastes to capture video from my video camera, the fact you can't just start recording, you have to set times for istance is a total annoyance. Other then that this laptop is flawless. I havn't had a chance to play HL2 on it, but it's in the mail, but all other games are a mazing with great FPS on it. The sound quality alone is a great change for me. Only other gripe is the pcmcia slot is on the right side where my mouse would go on my folding table for my laptop, it already sticks out an inch off the left side, hopefully i have no need for that slot in the near futre lol.

Bump...
I've been searching online and found nothing about tuners and delay at all, has no one else experienced this? Is this normal for all tuner cards and a known that I somehow overlooked? I have an USB AV capture card also, but it does not seem compatable with many of the actual TV programs, and my HP Tuner is not compatable with my USB WinTV software, when I use WinTV it is coax and it seems to work fine with games, unfortunately the newer games do not have coax connectors, any advice, info on this situation would be greatly appreciated.
