does the zd8000 have upgradeable ram? i see on hp's site, they dont list the ram they sell as compatible with the zd8000. Has anyone upgraded theirs, and if so, where did u buy the ram?

You can upgrade the RAM in any notebook these days. Check www.crucial.com and www.newegg.com for prices.

Newegg also offers ram PC4200 DDR2 made by PQI. It's a bit cheaper then the Kingston. I know that PQI makes good high performance ram for desktops but was wondering how their laptop memory fairs.

This is the faster 4200 DDR2 ram. It works great. They have differant size sticks. But if you buy two sticks of the same size,...then the ZD8000 will run it in dual channel mode.

    Good luck,
