I was wondering why there is no mention at all about the ze4800 series. I just recently stumbled onto this website (i guess i didn't do enough research before purchasing my notebook). and now i'm a little worried about it all. I bought a ze4800 with nearly all the lowest specs in these past HP deals. looked to be the cheapest one out the door so that's why i went for it. any reviews or thoughts about it?

specs were: athlon xp-m 2600+, 30gb, 256 ram, ati mobility radeon (after reading some things up on ati... i've been a longtime nvidia user... i think this vid card sucks, but i won't be gaming on this anyway), wireless lan.

    thanks guys!

This was all I could find:

    http://www.exactchoice.com/ProductProfile.aspx?id=2579

If you are looking to upgrade it, you could buy a stick of 512mb ram for $110 and/or buy a 60gig 7200rpm harddrive for under $189.

    Links for RAM:

    www.newegg.com

THanks for the quick reply. looked over the website you left. says that there's firewire which is a definite plus (i wasn't too sure if there was or not), and the only thing that is a bummer is the ati mobility radeon 7500. i was hoping for a 9000. haha oh well, this just discourages me from gaming which is good.

thanks for all the links for upgrades also. i'll check them out if i think that i need it. right now the notebook is going to serve mainly for typing reports and browsing (since i can't game ha). thanks again.

I just got a ze4800, but mine had an ati Radeon IGP 320M, and a 60gb drive, it had 256mb, but with the video being shared, I bumped it to 512mb. No firewire here, though. I do like it, though, for what I'm going to be using for...[ :D]
