I'm glad that I received my zt3000 yesterday, and I tried it out.
Everything looks great and smooth, except when I tested the keyboard,
the 'u' key is not responsive.
When I type on the 'u' key, most of the time the 'u' char won't come out, I have to kinda push it down a little bit deeper to get the 'u' printed.
also, the feel of the key is not good as others, it doesn't bounce good enough.
I'm stuck here...is it tolerable? If it goes on like that, it's barely ok, but will the problem get serious, such as, it won't respond at all, later?

what should I do? should I keep it, exchange or talk to them for a solution, such as send me a new keyboard? I'm anxious...this is my first notebook and I love itT_T
Please advice me, I really appreciate that![ :(]

Also, I checked the HDD, it says the part number is ST9XXX, I forgot the last few numebrs.
Any idea what brand will that be?

I think you should contact them right away, you should do it when you still have the option to return it. I think it should be easy for them to send you a new keyboard with instructions on how to replace it, its not tough on newer notebooks. Don't live with it, you bought a new machine if it was a car youd take it to be fixed right?

    I agree with DaGreek,
If you rotherwise happy with the notebook and there are no bad pixels, then see if they will just send you a new keyboard as they are easy to replace on most newer notebook and by all means, don't live with the defective key.

    Paperback,

Definitely call them, you'll get a response much faster.

In the even that you didn't get it fixed, you still have 1 year from date of delivery/purchase to get it replaced.
