I'm debating on whether to buy the zt3000 or the nc6000. Your help would be appreciated.
I will be using the notebook for college so mobility is key.
Although the nc6000 is lighter, the zt3000 is cheaper.

What will your other uses be?

The NC6000 is the higher spec'd notebook. Having the gigabit LAN & ATI 9600 graphics card (current games supported), makes this unit the better option. Since portability is also a factor, this unit only weighs approx 5lbs, while the ZT3000 weighs 6.7lbs. Since mobility is key, the NC6000 will give you better battery life than the ZT. I believe people have said that it will run over 5hrs on a single charge. Not only that, you can buy a MultiBay battery that plugs into where the Optical drive goes for upto 9hrs of runtime (of course, you will not have access to the optical drive when the MultiBay battery is plugged in). Other than all the bettwer features that the unit has, it also has a standard 3 year international warranty, while the ZT only has 1 year. The reason why this unit is more, is because it's generally the better system.

I guess it depends on what your budget is.

The nc6000 was built as a corporate laptop to compete with the likes of the IBM T42. The zt3000 is a consumer product that has business user potential and some similar features. The better machine is the nc6000. But to get a similar spec'd computer in the nc line that you would in the zt line, you will spend about $200-$300 more.

Like Run1track said, it is about your budget. If you want (in my opinion) the best corporate machine money can buy (T42 included), go with the nc6000. If you want a reliable machine with decent specs, go with the zt3000.
