I bought a zt3280us at CompUSA last week, since they had a great promo with a $250 mail in rebate.
Their website specifically says that it has 802.11g AND Bluetooth PAN. So the geek I am, I'm getting myself a Bluetooth mouse.
Trying to make it work it seems that there is no BT in this modell. I did install the BT drivers from the HP Software Setup and turned wireless on (the button on the front), but the tray icon says 'Bluetooth device not found'.
Did CompUSA rip me off?

turn it off, flip it over and remove the battery. You can see the bluetooth adapter in that compartment right near the battery connector. At least I believe so. Make sure you have the latest windows updates as well and check the device manager for a bluetooth device. Also, what mouse did you get? There may be some issue. Another thing I've heard is that you might just want to use the windows method of bluetooth. I have bluetooth on my zt, but I haven't used it yet.

thanks, it's there. It says ActionTec BTM200 which is a Bluetooth module.
Seems like there are some other general problems. The notebook doesn't recognize any USB devices either. Guess I'll spent some time tonight troubleshooting.
At least I have the Bluetooth module. Huge relieve.

Turns out the USB 2.0 port drivers weren't installed properly, might have happened when I upgraded XP Home to Professional.
My mouse is an Epox BT-MS02B now works like a charm. -
Earlster,
Ergin posted a problem with his Epox mouse as well (same model as yours) when trying to connect with the bluetooth on his Toshiba notebook, but was unable to detect the mouse.
Below is the link to his message:

Did you connect the mouse via bluetooth on your notebook or did it come with a USB dongle that you had the mouse connect to? Please send a note to Ergin in the Toshiba forum on the steps you took to get your mouse working, even though he has a Toshiba, the steps may apply to him as well.
Thanks for the help.
