the ZV5000T Series would probably be a good Office machine or DVD Player, if u intend to do Gaming i would consider the Zx5000 Series other then that what are your exact needs for the machine? if u provide more info it would help us.

    Thanks

I was looking at the ZV5000z when i was going to replace my Emachine M6809 But the Geforce 4 Go was the Only component that didnt suit the machine for Gaming. but the Athlon 64 is better at battery life and the cost and proformace Ratio. its fine for Office apps and DVD watching.

The zv5000z would be a better choice. The Athlon 64 CPU is much faster and has Enhanced Virus Protection (EVP, aka the NX bit) that Windows XP Service Pack 2 just enabled (Microsoft calls it Data Execution Prevention). The GeForce 440 Go 64MB dedicated video, while low-end, is still far superior to the zv5230US's integrated video. Battery life should be better. Everything else should be more-or-less identical.
