    Hi All,

    Notebook newbie here. I just bought an hp5410 w/athlon64 3000 love it but windows only shows it as a 798MHs not 1800. It is 1800MHs in the bios

    I'm not an expert, but from what I know, it's either that you're running on the battery, which uses less resources to maximize battery life, or you need to play aroudn with the power settings in the control panel....Hope that helps. I'm actually close to gettting that same computer too, so I really hope it helps!

    Thanks Brian! Thats all it was. A bit different than a desktop. Now at 1.79GHZ! I just got this at Staples. Same one you are looking at. They didn't have one in stock but they sold me the floor model that they just set up 2 days ago for 10% off. Ended up costing me 849.00! They just re packaged it in original box. AMD is the way to go. Why pay for Intel.
