Hello, while the HP ZV5320us notebook was on with no problems and then while the keyboard buttons were pressed, the computer no longer turns on. I disconnected the battery and power cord and separately (as well as together) I restarted the computer by pressing the on button (held the button down for short and long time -more than 10 sec.)
With the power cord connected, the power indication lights up blue and blinks as well as the three hotkeys stay blue- near the power on button. I hear a faint noise as if something tries to go on but fails, otherwise no noise or screen images of any kind. With the battery inside I see a blue lightning bolt near the power indication. I called HP support and no luck since my warranty expired in Nov last year. Any help would be appreciated.

When the computer is plugged in, the Power Led should NOT be blinking. If it is blinking, it shows that it is in Stand-By. I'm guessing it's a faulty AC adapter.....
Did you try turning on the computer without the AC Adapter connected?
Did you try turning it on without any external devices connected? -
Thanks for your reply,
When I tried to restart the notebook I tried 1) turning the notebook on with the power cord only- it gave a blue blinking light, 2)turning the notebook on with the battery only- it shows a solid blue lightning bolt near the volume buttons 3)with both power cord and battery in place and I press the on button - the blue power indicator stays on while I hear a fan-type sound and then the blue power incator light turns off, but the blue lightning bolt light stays on steady. There are no external devices connected. Thanks.
