Just a few minutes ago I was working on my laptop when the screen went dark. And the fans stopped, And the drive was silent. Power still good (at least the adapter brick LED was glowing green and the external 3.5" drive and the desk lamp had power from the surge strip). It was almost like it blew a fuse. I'm sure glad my wife still has my old Dell Inspiron up for me to get on the web.

When you rebooted, what happened? (press and hold the power button, if need be)

Nada. Zilch. Niente. This parrot is dead, defunct, passed on, crossed over the bar.

No lights. No noises. No joy.
