    zv5000z antenna orientation

    Where is the 802.11 antenna in the zv5000z? Does it have any particular reception pattern, or is it really omni-directional?

    its omnidirectional and for your information from what I've read the antenna is in the screen part. Behind the LCD

    There are two antenna panels behind the screen. I would assume that they're omnidirectional. One of the HP manuals has a diagram showing them. Range is pretty impressive, I can see several of my neighbors' networks [ :D], though intermittantly. Having two antennas helps deal with multipath issues.
