    zv6000 and zv5000

    can someone list difference between the two?

    -better graphics card on the 6k.
    -5k has H/K speakers. 6k doesn't.
    -6k can go up to A64 4000+.

    There is diffrent cpu sockets,lightscribe, and graphis among other things

    That's essentially it (as listed in the original post).

    Except that in some models of the zv5000 series, they are equipped w/Mobile chips, allowing them to truly operate quietly (with no fan noise, unless CPU temp. reaches a certain level).

    The ZV6000 also has an infra red port along with the express card slot.

    With ZV5000 you could get higher res screens...

    Only the Athlon XP-M's allow the fan to turn off in the zv5000z. The Athlon 64's HP used are all DTR-class chips that run the fan continuously. You can swap in Mobile-class A64's like I did though. I suspect that when HP switches over to 90nm A64's and Semprons the zv6000 fan behavior will be identical to the Athlon XP-M's in the zv5000z.

    You could get higher-res screens for the zv5000z too.

    Do the zv5000 series models have Expresscard slots?

    Another difference is that the zv6k has a 6in1 card reader, the other has 5.

    wtf? really? my cannon a95 uses compact flash...and i thought compact flash was the most common/basic memory card.

    please enlighten me...

    what good is the IR port?? I mean can i use a universal remote control on it or somthing? haha..i think i know the answer to that.

    Also what is the 6 in 1 card reader? Im guessin it can read your memeory cards like CF, SD, Memory Cards, etc.?
