Hey all, I've pretty much narrowed my laptop choices down to the HP zv6000 or the Compaq R4000 and can get similar configurations on each model for the same price ballpark. Which one is better?

    Microsoft(R) Windows(R) XP Home Edition with SP2
    AMD Athlon(TM) 64 3200+ (2.0GHz/512KB L2 Cache)
FREE Upgrade to 15.4" WXGA BrightView Widescreen!!
    128MB ATI RADEON(R) XPRESS 200M w/Hypermemory(TM)
    512MB DDR SDRAM (1x512MB)
60 GB 4200 RPM Hard Drive
    DVD+/-RW/R & CD-RW Combo w/Double Layer Support
    54g(TM) Integ. Broadcom 802.11b/g WLAN & Bluetooth
FREE Second 8 Cell Lithium Ion Battery!!
    Microsoft(R) Works/Money

That's the zv6000 for $969.00 after a 50 dollar rebate. I also presume that the zv6000 has the Quickplay feature?

I would lean slightly towards the R4000. One 12 cell battery is more practical than two 8 cells IMHO. The HD is larger too. Or just buy whichever one looks better to you.

They're pretty much the same computer except ones black and silver and ones silver and black. The only thing I noticed at best buy was that the touchpad on the R4000 (acually it was the 3000 but i assume they have the same one) was a little bit hard to manuver but that might be just me. Also I've heard that the R400 has better speakers. If you buy the zv6000 you might as well go with the 5400 rpm hdd it's only $25 more.
