    I have a HP Pavilion zv6000 according to the model number on the outside, but this is what:

    SiSandra has to say:
    Model = ZV6100(PN494AV)
    Processor:
    AMD Athlon 64 3200+
    Speed 997MHz

    System Properties
    Same as above.

    Bios states:
    Speed 2GHz

    This machine is suppose to be at 2Ghz, that's what the invoice says, but according to WCPU, my speed is only 1000MHz (997.08MHz).

    My bios is majorly limited and doesn't offer the option to change the multiplier speed or adjust any power management of the CPU.

    How do i get my processor to 2GHz like it's suppose to be?

    Your processor is running at 2 ghz when it needs to. I have a zv6000 as well and the AMD processor uses its Powernow! technology to automatically lower the speed if it is not needed. If the extra power is needed it automatically kicks it back up to full speed. So no worries about that as you will have the power when you need it. There is a way to go to the control panel under power management and turn it to always on or something like that and it will always stay at 2ghz. but really all that will do is burn your computer out sooner and really not help you. Good luck and happy computing!

    Yes, it might just be Powernow doing its thing. Just to be sure use a real time clock speed gathering utility like CPU-Z or AMD Dashboard and check your clock speeds. depending on whether your system is idle or under load you should notice the cpu clock speed increase automatically. If this isnt happening try changing the power profile and reinstall the AMD cpu driver.
