after my hard drive crashed and all the info got lost, my hard drive got formatted, but I find that its taking long for windows to start,

my zx5000 came by default with a toshiba HD, 80gigs, I was told that there were some applications to format laptop hard drives correctly,

could someone guide me to one of these applications for toshiba HDs?

    thanx...

When you install XP, if the drive is unformatted, XP will ask you to format it with either NTFS or FAT file system. I'd recommend NTFS. At the same screen there are options to delete/create/format your partition(s).
