I liked my zx5000 however I have some concern and questions,
I hope someone will help me…

    1) Last night I turned down the screen 4 brightness level but I didn’t get any additional battery time, so 2 hours later battery level was 3%. Do you think I have a bad battery? (I ordered 12 cell)
    2) After two hours with battery and one hour with power cord I used my laptop total 3 hours and right side did get very hot. Do you think this heat will create any other internal problems?
    3) I liked the stereo sound a lot, may be best in the market but I like to have more bass sound. Is there any bass adjustments?

    Thanks in advance.

i can answer 1 of your questions, Heat shouldnt be a problem the Right side on my Zx5000 gets warm also during use such as gaming. thats nothing to worry about, it shouldnt cause any internal heat problems there are 2 vents that keep the laptop cool.

i dont think they need adjustment, is your laptop unstable locking up, or crashing alot? if thats the case then it might be a heat problem. and as for battery life i wouldnt expect much becuase the CPU is a desktop processor, and Power management doesnt effect it. even if u put it on max battery it will stay pegged at 3200 Mhz in the case of my laptop.

    Thank you for the advice,
My laptop so far stable and I don't have any lock up problems yet...for the battery, I think I made a mistake and got P4 may be I should go with different chip.
But I don't understand some of the zx5000 owners claims they are getting 3 hours so that is the reason I was thinking my battery is realy made in China.

if u wanted battery life mixed with good proformance u should have gotton a CL56 Compel u can get it cheap at www.mwave.com the CPU in the Zx5000 isnt good at battery life the Pentuim M has good battery life 4 to 5 hours depending on the situation. the Speakers on the Cl56 are lackluster tho.

With my system even when gaming the top part of the notebook never gets hot maybe a little warm sometimes never hot. If your using the machine in your lap and your blocking the vents then it will get hot. I usally get 2.5 hours out of mine pretty easy, I've heard with Lithum batters that there maximum charge isn't reached until they have been charged and discharged from normal use a few times so maybe your battery life will get a little better with time.
