Is anyone else having problem with the power cord? I can charge the computer, but the power cord does not work while I am on the computer working. I am not sure if its the actual cord or the connection site.

    Any one else????

Maybe its not the power cord but a very well known issue with older HP/Compaq laptops where the solder which connects the power adaptor pins to the motherboard might have come loose and so the charging is a hit or a miss. If the computer chargeswhen holding the power cord at a certain angle then most certainly the failed solder on the motherboard might be the problem.
