    is it normal for the fan to go on right away during startup? and how often should it be on?
    even though the laptop is always cool

    in norton it shows 511mb ram ( 20% utilized) whats utilized mean?

    P4's normally run hot, it is normal for atleast 1 fan to be running all the time.

    Utilized means its using 20% of your Ram.
