I am really interested in getting a Thinkpad this summer and have been wondering with this "sale" going on if it would be better to buy now/relatively soon or if the price will be relatively the same when the T61 comes out.

    Current desired build for T60:
    Total: $1617.50

So will a similar build T61 be roughly around the same price? Because if so I will just wait for T61 and if the T60 drops significantly and a great deal presents itself, I'll jump on it.

    Thanks,
    WilCon

WilCon, I'm not sure that a 15.4" T61 with a standard sized screen (as opposed to widescreen) will be available. I may be wrong, but I have only heard of a 14.1" standard sized T61, which will only be temporarily available at that.

If such a build did exist, I'd expect it to be roughly the same. Go for the T60, man.

There are 15" ThinkPads coming. Guessing when the lowest price will be is a difficult game to play. No one here is going to know when the next sale is coming. You can watch the prices for a while to see what the lowest will be.
