    I recently bought a Lenovo Thinkpad T510. I have 1 stick of:
    2 GB PC3-8500 DDR3 SDRAM 1067MHz SODIMM Memory.

I'm plannin' to add another 2GB of memory to my laptop from Newegg, and was wondering if I can add:
    2 GB DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600).

Would it cause any issues? I know the speed will stay at 1067, but in future when I add a 4 gb stick, I plan to add a 1333MHz stick. But, would it cause any problems?

It should be compatible with T510 because I had an option to upgrade it to:
    4 GB PC3-10600 DDR3 SDRAM 1333MHz SODIMM Memory

Any help or thoughts are more than welcome. Thanks

you can use the 1333 mhz modules, but it will throttle down to the 1067 mhz speed.

Yeah, I plan to upgrade the 1067MHz stick with a 1333mhz one in future.
