My father dropped his laptop and pictures above explains what happened.
I'm guessing the bottom parts of the laptop cannot be replaced right because it's unibody(?)
But if I replace the top cover, would it be possible to fix it and is it DIY?
And there is also problem with the keyboard. If you divide the Backspace button into half, the right side of the backspace key doesn't work and power button takes longer than usual to turn it on/off.. this has been lingering problem for awhile. I came back home for the winter break and he only told me now.
I suppose I could ask for the keyboard parts and replace it myself right?
I'm more concerned about the bottom parts where the fan is and other cracks..
Please help me out. Thanks!

The corner damage looks entirely cosmetic to me. The fins on the heatsink weren't even damaged.
You can replace the lower chassis, but it takes a bit of work.
There's a disassembly manual. Google T420 HMM.
As for the keyboard, I'd try reseating the backspace keycap. Also pry off the small bezel between Esc and PrtSc (it should come off) and see if there's anything in it that might be interfering with the power button. -
I would need to get these two right..?

The bottom cover looks to be suffering from cosmetic damage, but no one can say anything for sure without having that laptop in front of them.
The magnesium chassis inside the bottom case could also be damaged. -
I would check the internals near where the left hinge is to make sure its still OK since the CPU heatsink fan is also around that area too. The T420 took a beating but it looks like it got away with just cosmetic damage if the system powers on fine. Keyboards are easily replaceable if it failed, the bottom bezel and lid top definitely needs a change but also check if the palmrest bezel hasn't been damaged from the impact too.
