Hi folks
Trying to download the new drivers for Windows 7 installation on my x200s when I checked the drivers matrix and it says, for wireless Wifi:
The following adapters are no longer supported.
Intel WiFi Link 5100
Intel WiFi Link 5150
Intel WiFi Link 5300
Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965AG
Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN
Intel PRO/Wireless 3945BG Network Connection
Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection
They are supported with newer version 13.00.0000 (6MWV14WW or 6OMV15WW).
I'm not sure how many folks here are using the same wireless hardware as mine for x200s (the 5300)... so what do we do now??? Which driver to download??

You can always use Intel's drivers. I actually prefer them to Lenovo's for my 5100.

scroll down to the bottom of this page and you'll find an archive of drivers. if 6HWV20WW doesn't work for some reason, use an older driver. 6HWV04WW should support your card without issue. if it doesn't, just use the driver included with windows 7. that's what i use and it works fine.

That is because the Intel wireless drivers are now delivered through Windows Update, so there is no need for Lenovo to support them. Why mess with what already works out of the box?
-
so, there's no need to install the older version (for Vista)?
And I'm also missing the chipset and LAN drivers. Do I use the Vista ones, or do I get them through Windows Update?

The answer to this question is in maumu's original post. As it says, all of those adapters, including the 5300, are supported by a newer Lenovo driver. The latest version is here:

thanks bananaman!
but what about the chipset and LAN drivers? I can't seem to find them... (for Windows 7) -
The drivers are most likely there. For some reason the matrix is not up to date, but you will find them if you select X200s and Windows 7 on the Support & download site. If for any reason a particular driver is not posted, use the Windows 7 default or a Vista driver, as suggested by erik.

ok i tried your way and managed to find the chipset driver, but the LAN driver is still missing... can you help me find it?

Just go to the Intel website and find the drivers for it under support.
[Shocked] Intel 5300 Wifi no longer supported!?
