    Hi,

Is there any tutorial regarding how to perform a clean Windows 7 installation on T400 machines? (like what we have already had with Vista and XP)

    Thanks!

Make recovery discs and a copy of the SWTools folder.

    Put in disc. Follow prompts.

Use SWTools folder to install any missing drivers and software you wish to install.

You don't really need a tutorial.

Doing a clean install of Win7 is much easier than with vista since Win7 will install most of the drivers right from the get-go. For everything else, you could just use System Update 4.

For instance, when I did a clean install yesterday, the only drivers/apps I had to install on my own was Power Manager and the switchable gfx drivers since neither of those were found on System Update at the time.

All the basics like lan/wifi/sound were fully functional by the time I could open IE.

Thank you very much. So I'll start my installation right away. Hope that things will go smoothly.
