Hi guys. It's been a while since I posed a query on this forum.

I've now had my Lenovo U300s for about 4 1/2 months, and I face a new issue.

While I plug in my USB mouse, I realize that all of a sudden it isn't recognized. Then suddenly it is. The is the 'deng' sound when this happens. The connection/wires are all secure.

The worst part is that when this happens, the computer will fail to shut down. Heck, it won't even go to sleep.

At first, I thought it was crazy of me to think so, but for the one week I still used the USB mouse, I constantly faced this issue.

Then I though leave the mouse aside. Now, two weeks without the mouse, and I've not faced a single issue.

What is wrong exactly with my U300s? I think the problem was chronic, because it wouldn't shut down and so I had to long-press the on button to force restart it. Not a good sign.
