I'm looking for a decent budget backpack to use intitially with my lenovo x220 and eventually with other notebooks of the same size.

These are two models I like much.

    - Canyon
    - Prestigio

The first one is specific for max 12" notebooks but it seems it could be ok with x220, too.

The second one is instead compatible with notebooks up to 15.4" and I'm afraid it can be too big.

Yes, there is, but I've been more a messenger bag user than backpack, so I don't know much about them. If you carry a lot of other stuff, get the larger one. If not, go smaller.

I'm afraid about the fact that with the larger one the notebook could not be "protected" in the right manner.

It's all based on your style, kensington looks more business-y, almost like leather from the distance with what seems to be more space then the case logic which looks more sporty with the red trim.
