Is it possible to have 2 hard drives in a t500 and still have the cd drive internal?
Thanks!

The Fire Snake Notebook Virtuoso
No, I don't think so. You would have to heave 1 internal and one external if you want to keep the internal CD drive. If you want to remove the CD drive, you could use the ultrabay to house another drive internally. -
This is what you need

No, it does not have the room in the case to have 2 hard drives and the internal optical drive. The only way is to remove the CD drive and use the 2nd hard drive in Ultrabay.

I don't think that is the one you need. They changed it for the T500. For the T500 you need this: http://shop.lenovo.com/SEUILibrary/controller/e/web/LenovoPortal/en_US/catalog.workflow:item.detail?GroupID=38&Code=43R1980¤t-category-id=2478535BAB3C417CA9D77F5867D31462
I don't know if the one you suggest would even fit the T500? Sadly, no sale on this second one.
I bought this one for myself, and it works great. But no CD/DVD while it is attached. -
Have you thought of an external USB drive that uses USB power? I picked one up from Costco (USA membership big-box type store). It was 500 Gigabytes, runs off of USB power only (no AC adapter) and was $130.00. Works wonderfully.

I was curious if I could grab a small 60-80 gig SSD hard drive for C and use my current drive which is 120 or so extra, as drive D, but I dont think it is worth losing the cd drive yet.
I guess I will have to wait until prices on 120+ gig SSDs come down.
