HI all
Lately, my 6 cell fully charged battery for my X200s seems to only provide me with 3hrs+ of life.
The laptop/batt is about 8 mths old with 168 cycle count.
The full charge capacity is 42.74 Wh.
The design capacity is 56Wh
So it seems like its only at 75% lifespan now.
The 3hr+ batt life doesnt seem right.
I remember when I first used the laptop, it was about 5hrs.
What is the issue here?
Thanks

it might be that the battery is dying. especially if you always drain the battery to 0%.
its happened to me before. -
Watch the capacity of the battery as it drains, does it ever drop a large percent suddenly? Then it may be a dying battery and you should try a battery reset.
otherwise check out this thread: http://forum.notebookreview.com/lenovo-ibm/555442-high-power-consumption-x200s-win7.html -
The 6-cell I received with my x200s lasted for about 6 months before the same thing happened.

what is lenovo's policy on battery replacement? its got a one year warranty on battery, but do they have a threshold which the battery needs to be under before they'll agree to replace it?
dell's fairly easygoing about it. i just call them up and they get a new one sorted straight away as long as its within the 12 months -
i never really paid attention regarding "drop a large percent "
how does one do a battery reset?
it sucks that after 6 mths, the batter is running at 75% capacity..
is this even normal?
darn it
6 cell battery for X200s last 3hrs + .. normal? if not, why?
