    Does the 6 cell battery in the T61 15.4" widescreen stick out from the rear of the notebook?

    No, it is just like the T60 15.4in (flush).

    The 6 cell DOES stick out. The 4 cell is the only one that does not. Both the 65 and 7 cell sticks out the same amount, the 7 just weighs a bit more.

    I did a lot of googling for this question, but couldn't find out. Even the lenovo web site has very sparse information about the rear view of the t61 with the 6-cell battery.

    Try harder guys. The T61 review on this very website says that the 6-cell battery sticks out the back.

    Um... please read the OPs post carefully. He mentioned the 15.4" model. The 6 cell battery should NOT stick out...

    The review on this website is for the 14.1" model.

    The 15.4" T61 is just like the old T60 15.4", the 6 cell is flush. 9 cell sticks out.

    The 14.1 T 61 is like the Z61t, only the 4 cell is flush. 6 and 7 cell sticks out.

    I know it can be confusing for people on the different screen sizes but thats how it is. I just hope people do some searching though.

    The 9-cell, for me at least, has amazingly long battery life-somewhere in the neighborhood of around 7hrs (battery setting set to maximum battery life). The thing is, that extra 1" of the battery sticking out of the back of the notebook makes a HUGE difference in being able to get the notebook in and out of my bag easily.

    Is there anyone with battery life specs for the T61 15.4" with the 6-cell battery? I'm thinking about buying another battery only if the battery life is near 4+ hours.
